InterAmerican Coffee is delighted to participate in the 13th Annual Grounds for Health Auction! This important event brings together donations from across the specialty coffee industry, from green coffee to equipment and services. Everyone is invited to bid on the donated offerings beginning June 15 at noon ET and running through June 16 at 6 p.m. ET.
For more than 25 years, Grounds for Health has offered life-saving healthcare to women in coffee-growing communities. The nonprofit organization works with local health-care providers, training them on how to screen for and treat pre-cervical cancers. Through community education and increased access to care, Grounds for Health is helping to prevent this leading cause of cancer death among women in developing countries and a major killer of women worldwide.
InterAmerican coffee has donated two 69kg bags of Mexico NKG Bloom Zongolica SHG EP – Women Power! This coffee comes from 20 women producers in the Zongolica region of Veracruz Mexico. These producers are working with NKG Bloom agronomists to steward agro-ecosystems in which they can improve coffee quality and yield, while at the same time preserve the region’s biodiversity and ecological equilibrium. They have named their coffee “WPZ – Women Power Zongolica!” with pride, and we share in their excitement.
In the cup, we are tasting bright tropical flavors, floral notes and juicy body – truly beyond the expectations of a Mexico SHG EP! We’re thrilled that this beautiful coffee, from proud coffee women, will in turn benefit other women in coffee communities.
We hope you’ll register for the auction and place a bid on this outstanding coffee, which will arrive in New Jersey in early August, in Grain Pro and painted Women Power bags. Good luck! •
