Ethiopia Guji G4 Natural

Ethiopia Guji G4 Natural is grown by 400 producers in the Oromia region. Native varietals of coffee grown are grown at 1,900 – 2,200 and hand-picked. The coffee is also hand-sorted to remove initial debris, and is then floated in water for additional sorting, removing unripe and defective cherries. The coffee is then dried on raised beds for 48 hours until uniformly dried.

About Sibu Trading

Sibu Trading is the largest producer and exporter of coffee in Ethiopia. Having already been a coffee supplier for 25 years, it was established as an exporter in 2014. Sibu Trading has its own farm (1,000 hectares) in the Guji Zone and also works with local out-growers. It sources coffee from Guji Hambella, Guji Kerhca and Yirgacheffe.

Presently, Sibu Trading has four washing stations, as well as a dry mill and warehouse in Kercha woreda (district) and Dimtu in Hambella woreda. Overall, Sibu annually employs more than 25 permanent staff and 1,250 seasonal workers and indirectly impacts the livelihoods of thousands of coffee growers throughout the southern and south-western coffee-producing regions of Ethiopia. Further, Sibu consistently reinvests in infrastructure, technology and processing. Additionally, the exporter invests five percent of its annual profits into social responsibility programs. These include constructing schools, providing computers for students and establishing clean water supplies to the communities it serves.
