Ethiopia Limmu G2 Rainforest Alliance

Ethiopia Limmu G2 Rainforest Alliance comes from Limmu Coffee Farms, a group of six farms: Gomma-I, Gomma-II, Kossa, Gummer, Suntu, and Cheleleki. Originally established in the 1980s, the farms became part of Horizon Plantation in 2013.

Located in the Jimma Zone of Ethiopia’s Oromia Region, approximately 428 kilometers southwest of Addis Ababa, Limmu Farms spans 12,123 hectares, with nearly 8,000 hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation. The region’s favorable growing conditions include ample annual rainfall and supplementary irrigation from rivers flowing through the farms.

Each farm’s distinct agroecological and climatic conditions contribute to the unique flavor and aromatic characteristics of its coffees. Sourced directly from these traceable estates, Limmu coffees offer a range of profiles that reflect the diversity of their growing environments.

Limmu Farm coffees are available with Rainforest Alliance, EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and CP compliance.
