Brazil Veloso Absolute Natural Rainforest Alliance comes to us from Veloso Coffee, specifically Santa Cecília Farm in Cerrado Mineiro. Pedro Humberto Veloso acquired his first coffee farm in 1977. Today, Veloso coffee consists of four producer complexes — Santa Cecilia, Santa Rita, Palmeira and Serra do Cabral — managed by Pedro and his children.
Santa Cecília Farm lies at roughly 1,100 meters above sea level in a subtropical climate. The farm is Rainforest alliance and Regenagri certified. Farm management centers around sustainable and regenerative approaches, such as the use of solar energy, drip irrigation systems and reuse of waste for organic fertilization. Furthermore, Veloso is committed to environmental preservation and reforestation, maintaining an extensive area of natural reserves and springs. In addition to the administrative base, Santa Cecília has a modern quality lab, a robust post-harvest infrastructure (including a wet mill, pulper, patio, rotary dryers and milling facilities, and a warehouse and silos.

Brazil Veloso Absolute Natural Rainforest Alliance is comprised of beans that are harvested using selective mechanization. Subsequently, the cherry is floated at the washing station to separate unripe and damaged beans. The coffee cherry is then slowly sun dried on patios for twelve days. Next, the cherry is dried an additional 24 hours in drum driers until it reaches 11.5% of moisture.
