Mexico Decaf MWP Kuali Organic

Mexico Decaf MWP Kuali Organic is sourced from 351 producer members of Comercializadora de Café y Granos Kuali de Chiapas, a cooperative established in 2020. These farmers cultivate coffee across the municipalities of Siltepec, Honduras de la Sierra, Capitán Luis A. Vidal, Montecristo de Guerrero, Chicomuselo, and Ángel Albino Corzo in Chiapas.

Kuali’s producers are committed to organic farming practices, using coffee pulp and other organic materials as natural fertilizer. The cooperative also prioritizes responsible water management, utilizing spring water and filtration pits to help prevent wastewater from entering local streams.

Coffee cherries are selectively hand-harvested at peak ripeness before being pulped and fermented for 16–24 hours. The coffee is then washed and sun-dried on patios before being prepared for export. This lot is decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process (MWP), preserving the coffee’s inherent character while removing caffeine without the use of chemical solvents.
