Mexico NKG Bloom

Mexico NKG Bloom is grown by smallholder producers across the country, all of whom are enrolled in NKG Bloom. NKG Bloom is a global initiative of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe aimed at ending the cycle of poverty in the coffee supply chain by empowering producers to run their farms at full potential and maximize their net incomes. On the ground, NKG exporter Exportadora de Cafe California’s (ECC) Unit for Sustainable Services to Producers (USSP) assesses producers’ specific needs and provides them with custom service packages. Importantly, the USSP engages with farmers who are struggling to meet sustainability standards so that every earnest effort and improvement is encouraged.

Mexico NKG Bloom coffees come from a number of different producing regions across the country. Each lot is traceable to a different regional producer group — ask your trader for details.

Key Aspects of NKG Bloom

Technical Assistance: The USSP provides comprehensive technical assistance to coffee producers to enable the adoption of sustainable and efficient farming practices.

High-Quality Inputs: NKG Bloom ensures producers have access to superior inputs for optimal growth and yield, establishing a strong foundation for sustained productivity and resilience.

Renovation (Seedlings): Using Ecopil technology, ECC provides high-quality seedlings that support the renewal of coffee plantations.

Infrastructure: NKG Bloom invests in infrastructure in coffee-producing areas to support efficient farming operations and the local communities.

Information Services and Traceability: The initiative emphasizes traceability throughout the supply chain, ensuring transparency in every stage of production through the Farmer Information System, which provides live updates to users.

Financing and Market Access: Facilitating access to credit and financial resources enables producers to make necessary investments, ensuring the financial health and long-term viability of their operations. Additionally, NKG Bloom seeks to broaden producers’ access to markets with an emphasis on sustainable and premium markets in particular.

Por Más Café & NKG Bloom

Por Más Café, now part of NKG BLOOM, was created by NKG export company Exportadora de Café California (ECC) in 2014, to address the coffee rust crisis. Since then, 4,520 producers have benefitted from the program, more than 5,300 hectares of coffee have been renovated, $11.2 million U.S. has been offered in financing and more than $34 million has been invested in farm renovations.

Now even more holistic, NKG BLOOM provides custom service packages to producers that may include financing, high-quality inputs, seedlings, agronomy and business training, information services, access to markets and new coffee technologies.
