ILA Port Strike: What to Know

October 1, 2024

The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) has gone on strike, effective October 1. This means that all East Coast ports, from the Gulf to Boston, are now closed to inbound cargo and the collection of containers.

This disruption will cause delays that have the potential to affect the entire supply chain. The extent to which this happens will only be known once a resolution is reached.

Key to know:

  • InterAmerican has strong supplies already in our warehouses, and these are available for immediate release.
  • We are in constant communication with our service providers and are doing everything possible to minimize the inconvenience.

Please be assured, we are monitoring the situation and will provide updates here as new details become available. •
