As part of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG), InterAmerican Coffee proudly belongs to a global green coffee service group that’s focused on exactly one product: coffee. With that focus comes a long-term commitment to the people, communities and environments connected to coffee.
Today, we’re pleased to share the NKG Sustainability Report 2026, which offers a detailed look at how NKG is putting that commitment into practice.
There is no single solution to the challenges facing coffee, and sustainability looks different across NKG’s 40-plus companies in 28 countries. InterAmerican has highlighted some of this work in the past, including NKG Bloom and NKG Verified. The 2026 report puts these efforts into context with initiatives from across NKG, highlighting both the diversity of approaches and the progress being made.
A few takeaways:
• 20.9 million trees were distributed in 2025
These include coffee seedlings, native trees and fruit and nut trees used to promote agroforestry and intercropping systems.
• 33.9 percent reduction in Energy Inventory Scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2022
Demonstrating meaningful serious progress in reducing emissions from NKG’s energy use.
• 350-plus colleagues are part of NKG Farmer Service Units
These team members provide guidance, deliver services and support sustainability initiatives on the ground.
The report also offers an opportunity to consider what sustainability means for a coffee industry facing increasingly complex economic, environmental and social challenges—and what it takes to build a more resilient future for coffee.
We invite you to explore the NKG Sustainability Report 2026 and learn more about how we’re working toward a more sustainable and resilient coffee supply chain. •
