On July 31, the White House issued an executive order modifying reciprocal tariff rates under its International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). These changes will take effect this Thursday, Aug. 7, and apply to green, roasted, soluble and decaffeinated coffee.
Unfortunately, these changes further increase the costs associated with importing coffee, and we have no choice but to pass along the tariff costs.
This is a very fluid situation with many questions still unanswered. We remain in close communication with the National Coffee Association (NCA) and continue to monitor events closely. We’ll keep you updated as new information emerges.
